MEET US
Neither the Pastors, Staff Counselors or Lay Counselors in this ministry are licensed as psychotherapists or mental Health professionals.
In the process of Biblical Counseling there are often times when there is a need for significant advice with regards to legal, medical, financial or other technical areas. In those cases you will be encouraged to seek independent professional counsel. Our pastoral and lay counselors will be happy to cooperate with such advisors and help you to consider their counsel in the light of relevant scriptural principles.
Men’s and Couples Counselor Pastor Terry has served in this church since 1992 when he became an usher. In 1993, while filling the position of Deacon, he started co- teaching Children’s church with Lucy Berry and eventually taught every age group in the children’s ministry. This led him to full time ministry in 1999 as Pastor of Children’s Ministry of CCSM. While serving in this position at CCSM he has also been a part of the counseling ministry with over 2000 hours of counseling. He is a certified Biblical Counselor with International Association of Biblical Counselors. He has been married to his wife Diana for 34 years and she is the housekeeper here at CCSM. |
Men and Couples Counselor Pastor Dave took the counseling course at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Twin Peaks, CA. He moved to Santa Maria in 1990 to work with the Youth Group and shortly after ended up moving to Hungary to help start a church. When Dave returned from Hungary in 1997, one of his duties upon return to Calvary Chapel Santa Maria was in the area of counseling. He since has counseled for over 3000 hours. Pastor Dave’s heart is to minister to individuals on every level with one-on-one, heart-to-heart, scripture seeking care as the Holy Spirit leads. Dave has also been a chaplain with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff since 2001. He was certified with the International Association of Biblical Counselors in 2006. Currently Dave is the Associate Pastor over ministries.

Women’s Counselor Cindi holds her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and served as a Christian Preschool Director and teacher for several years before starting their family. She and her husband Eric have been married 27 years. They and their three children have lived in the Santa Maria area for 14 years and have attended Calvary Chapel Santa Maria for over nine years. Cindi directed the Nursery ministry for three years before she was called into the Counseling Ministry in 2001. She completed her counselor’s certification with International Association of Biblical Counselors in 2002 and received her Bachelors Degree in Biblical Counseling in 2006 from Masters Divinity School. She has been Counseling Administrator and Women’s Counselor since 2001 at CCSM with over 3000 hours of counseling experience. |
